Privacy, Trust & Boundaries

Useful support without false medical authority.

Taby handles cycles, vitality, mental load, discipline support, and relationship data. That means legal, privacy, age, billing, and medical boundaries have to match the actual product, not just brand language.

The current foundation is strict: minimum age 13+, solo-only access for ages 13 to 17, no live telehealth, no fake Pro state, no health-data resale, and real export/deletion rights.

Core Commitments

These are enforced product boundaries, not optional principles.

13+ minimum age

Users under 13 cannot create or use a Taby account.

Teen access is solo-only

Users aged 13 to 17 can use solo self-management features only. Couples mode, telehealth, and new premium purchases stay locked until age 18.

No health-data resale

Cycles, vitality logs, discipline entries, mental entries, and couples records are not sold to advertisers or data brokers.

Consent-led sharing

Relationship data is private by default and only becomes shared through explicit user action.

Real export and deletion rights

Authenticated export and deletion requests are handled through the backend, not clipboard-only flows.

No fake premium state

A user becomes Pro only after store-backed or Stripe-backed verification succeeds server-side.

Telehealth is not live

Any telehealth language is pre-disclosure only until jurisdiction, licensure, consent, and records workflows are actually launched.

Medical boundaries stay explicit

Taby is supportive and educational, but it does not diagnose, treat, or replace emergency or licensed clinical care.

Terms of Service

Account rules, lawful use, eligibility, and service boundaries.

Taby is a self-guided health, awareness, and behavior-support product. By creating an account or using the service, the user agrees to use it lawfully, provide reasonably accurate account information, and keep credentials secure.

Users may not impersonate another person, abuse partner-sharing features, circumvent safety controls, interfere with billing verification, or misuse support channels or private data.

Some features are age-restricted, jurisdiction-restricted, or not yet live. Taby may suspend or limit access where product safety, platform rules, or legal compliance require it.

Privacy Policy

What Taby stores, why it stores it, and how it protects it.

Taby stores account-backed settings, female cycle state, male vitality logs, mental entries, discipline logs, consented device-health integrations, couples records, export/deletion requests, and verified billing metadata when those features are used.

This data is used to operate requested features, protect accounts, sync cross-device state, generate insights, enforce verified billing entitlements, and honor export and deletion rights.

Taby requests device permissions only for feature operation: camera access supports partner QR scanning and user-selected image capture; NFC supports optional partner invite handoff; notifications support reminders and account/service messages; HealthKit or Health Connect access is opt-in for sleep, steps, exercise, heart-rate, and resting-heart-rate signals; Google Play Billing supports verified subscriptions; biometric or fingerprint access supports local device unlock; internet, network-state, Google services, wake lock, and internal receiver permissions support secure sync, sign-in, notifications, billing verification, and normal app operation.

Taby does not sell health-related user data to advertisers or data brokers. Device-only state such as biometrics, app PIN configuration, and OS permission state remains device-bound unless the app explicitly labels it as export metadata.

Medical Disclaimer

Taby is informative and supportive, not diagnostic or clinical care.

Taby does not diagnose, treat, cure, monitor, or prevent disease. Cycle, fertility, vitality, discipline, stress, burnout, and couples insights are informational support only.

Taby does not confirm pregnancy, ovulation, infertility, hormonal disorders, testosterone status, addiction diagnosis, depression, anxiety disorders, or emergency medical conditions.

Users should seek licensed professional care for self-harm risk, suicidal thinking, severe distress, heavy bleeding, pregnancy concerns, chest pain, breathing difficulty, neurological symptoms, or any worsening physical or mental health concern.

Age Policy

Minimum age, adult threshold, and age-based feature eligibility.

Users under 13 are not permitted to create or use a Taby account.

Users aged 13 through 17 may use solo self-management features only. They may not use couples mode, partner-sharing, telehealth, or new paid premium purchases inside the app.

Users aged 18 and older may use adult-only features when those features are live and lawfully available in their jurisdiction.

Teen and Parent Access Policy

How teen access works and what parent features do not exist today.

Taby does not currently provide guardian-managed minor accounts, silent parent monitoring, or a parent dashboard.

If local law requires parent or guardian permission for a teen to use a digital service of this kind, that consent must already exist before the teen continues. Taby records the user’s confirmation of that requirement.

Because guardian-managed verification is not live, under-18 accounts are limited to solo features only.

Data Retention Policy

How long active data, audit metadata, and temporary exports are kept.

Account-backed feature data is retained until the user deletes the account or removes the underlying feature data. Relationship-scoped data is retained while the relationship exists.

Temporary export artifacts are removed on expiry or account deletion. Export and deletion request rows are retained only as minimized operational metadata after deletion, with account identifiers anonymized.

Provider-managed encrypted backups may remain for the provider retention window, but deleted user data is not restored into active production tables except through controlled disaster recovery procedures.

Export and Delete Rights

Authenticated users can export or delete the data they own.

A signed-in user can request a structured export of the data they own, including profile/settings, female, male, mental, discipline, health-signal, couples, lifecycle, and billing metadata linked to that account.

A signed-in user can request immediate deletion by confirming identity in-app. Deletion removes owned data, relationship-linked rows, export artifacts, and the authenticated account, then clears device-bound state on the requesting device.

Users who cannot access the app can request account deletion from the public deletion page at https://www.officialtabyapp.com/delete-account.

Clipboard copying is not the production export path. Taby uses authenticated backend lifecycle pipelines.

Marketing and Ads Disclosure

What Taby does and does not do with advertising and promotional contact.

The current product does not sell user health data for advertising. If marketing contact is introduced later, it must stay separate from essential service messages and remain revocable by the user.

The mobile product does not use third-party ad targeting to unlock sensitive health, distress, addiction-support, or emergency-adjacent experiences.

Operational billing, security, and account-lifecycle messages may still be sent where needed to provide the service or comply with law.

Subscription Disclosures

Recurring billing rules and verified entitlement boundaries.

A user cannot appear Pro unless a purchase was verified server-side. Local toggles or cached preference state do not create premium access.

On iOS, digital premium uses App Store auto-renewable subscriptions. On Android, digital premium uses Google Play subscriptions. Web or external checkout uses Stripe where permitted.

Manage-subscription links appear only after a verified billing reference exists. Under-18 accounts cannot start new premium purchases inside the app.

Telehealth Scope and Pre-Disclosure

Telehealth is not live and remains separate from the current product.

Any telehealth language in Taby is pre-disclosure only and does not mean a licensed clinician, live consultation, or clinical records workflow is active today.

Before telehealth can launch, Taby must separately define supported jurisdictions, provider licensure, informed consent flow, records retention, media-security controls, payment workflow, and emergency escalation boundaries.

Even if telehealth launches later, it will remain unavailable to under-18 accounts until a compliant youth model exists.

Scope summary

Taby is a self-guided support product. It is not a diagnostic service, not emergency response, not a teen parent-monitoring platform, and not live telehealth. Adult-only features stay adult-only, and sensitive data stays private unless the user explicitly shares it through a supported consent flow.
